Case Study: Reframing the Poverty Debate

June 2006: CCMC is coordinating a multi-year strategic media campaign with more than 20 non-profit organizations called the Fairness Initiative on Low-Wage Work. This case study/evaluation (see link below) was written by the Initiative’s Co-Director Beth Shulman for the Women’s Donor Network to illustrate how the use of strategic media can help reframe a difficult issue.

Initial Case Study

As part of its continuing research regarding media evaluation by non-profits, the Communications Consortium Media Center (CCMC) has commissioned a new project evaluation by the Harvard Family Research Project (HFRP) that is now available to non-profits and foundations.

CCMC is working on a series of media evaluations, both large and small, to test the evaluation template that is outlined in a Working Paper issued last fall. This recent evaluation by HFRP utilized some of the guidelines suggested in the Working Paper.
